This is a Theory Development Paper that proposes and supports the theory that female friendships are generally more intimate than male friendships by critically applying and synthesizing concepts from three foundational communication theories: Muted Group Theory (MGT), Social Penetration Theory (SPT), and Communication Privacy Management Theory (CPM). This is a group project of a comprehensive Marketing Plan developed for the real small business, Bara Homes Group, for an entrepreneurship class, detailing a strategy to transition the company from referral-based growth to achieving wider brand recognition through revamped online presence, community outreach, and market expansion into Bergen County.
